So I remember it was the weekend ( though I couldn’t remember if it was the first or the second weekend since after the ECQ), we were having our usual breakfast (my mom, sister and I ) and then my sister suddenly blurted out, “Okay, I’m making brownies!”
Then I’m like, okay you want some competition sissy?
Bring it on, I’m making the best fudgy brownies you’ll ever taste in this entire world!
Ha ha!
And so we began to start our mise en place!
In the middle of the preparations, I remembered Erwan’s video with Solenn where they ask people to choose which is the better version of what they made. And so, I decided that we’re going to do a LIVE tasting competition wherein my mom and our kasambahay will be the one to judge who’s brownie is the bestest!
This is the brownie recipe that I used, I got the recipe from Deliciously Ella’s website and just made a few tweaks as I deemed right.
Fudgy Brownies
Ingredients:
1 tbsp chia seeds with 4 tbsp water
1 2/3 cup flour
½ cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
2 cups coconut/ muscovado sugar
½ cup plant milk ( I used almond milk )
1 cup coconut oil
Preheat the oven to 170 C for 10 minutes. Prepare an 8x8 square inch pan with foil.
1. Soak the chia seeds in water and let it bloom.
2. Combine all dry ingredients.
3. Combine all wet ingredients and the chia mixture.
4. Combine both wet and dry ingredients in a large bowl.
5. Place brownie mixture in the pan and bake for 30 minutes at 170C.
6. Refrigerate brownie if you want a cold brownie before eating. Then cut into squares.
7. Enjoy with a glass of almond milk on the side!
We both finished our brownies and the taste off began! I hosted an Instagram Live and and 2 viewers! Thank you Francis Mabborang for watching! :)
My mom would refuse to choose initially cause she said she both loves us and we’re both her daughters but in the end she chose my brownie cause she said it’s gooey and moist. While Ate Chit chose Dutchess’ brownie cause according to her it’s less sweet.

So we both won!
Yay!
So happy how both of our brownies turned out but I must say my recipe is so much better!( wink wink! )
I highly recommend it if you’d like to stock up on some “gourmet” sweets when the cravings suddenly hit. That’s what I do I pour myself a glass of almond milk on the side and eat my fresh from the refrigerator brownie!
Let me know if you tried out the recipe! Give me a DM on Instagram( itsme_rawbeauty).
I would love to hear from you! Till our next Raw beauty adventure!
Love lots,
Princess
