If you have read my blog, you will know that I worked for Manulife Chinabank last year as the EA to the CEO. After my contract ended, I sort of had a mini one month break but I was still actively pursuing for jobs online and hoping I would land a job soon enough.]

The whole process was filled with a lot of emotions, waiting and trying and if it doesn’t work out, trying again. I would like to let you in on some personal journey experiences that might help you while you’re trying to land your next job.

Randomly while I was going through my Instagram stories, I saw Luis Manzano’s post that Style List Inc was looking for Stylist Assistants to join their company. Alongside with this, I was with a Staff Agency wherein my consultant there was also actively looking for the perfect job match for me.

And so I’ve tried to apply as a Stylist Assistant, and have passed the two stages of the interview. But apparently, my style deck did not meet their expectations and requirements as a Stylist and probably because I don’t have any experience at all in styling except for a few stints I made while working for Philippine Tatler. And so, I didn’t make it.

But, let’s just say that all things really happen for a reason, and it has its own perfect time too.

My consultant informed me that I got accepted to work for Sunlife in BGC and that the interviewers chose me. I didn’t know how to feel about it at first cause I was starting over, again.

New office, new environment, new set of officemates, and not to mention a 533 AM call time to cater to my morning detox routine ( I make and drink fresh calamansi water and do oil pulling before brushing my teeth in the morning. ) and because I will be taking the LRT, MRT and the BGC bus ride, I really needed to wake up early cause you’ll never know how crazy the lines would get while commuting.

But nonetheless, this is my second day and I’m loving every bit of the experience. My boss explained to me my job description and I feel confident that I can deliver and do the work that is expected of me to do. I know I just have to be focused and fully present while I’m at work so that I can efficiently and effectively perform all the tasks that is required of me to do.

I’m also loving the fact that I am able to squeeze in at least 30 minutes of exercise after work. I know it may not be a lot but it’s a huge achievement for me cause in the past few months I really couldn’t find the motivation to do it but now, I’m slowly getting back into it.

And the best part about my job? There are a few yoga studios that are walking distance from the office and I’m planning to enroll by March! I have committed to exercise for this month and let’s see how my body adapts to it.

So there, I will be updating you about my progress here at work after a few months when I feel like it’s time. I don’t want to flood you with my work chit chats every now and then that’s why.

I would like to know, how’s your work life going?are you starting a new career?

Let me know in the comments down below! Much love!
