Oh wow!

I haven’t written anything for ages! And I swear, I extremely feel the difference of not being able to create anything even though it’s only of the written word in the past few months. A lot of things has been going on with my life lately, but mostly it revolves around getting back on track with my health and fitness. The past year has indeed been a rollercoaster ride and I feel like this year is by far the most challenging, especially when it comes to going to the next level in all aspects of my life. See? It’s not all roses in my life + yaaas, I’m keeping it REAL in the blogging life as well. That’s why I’m super happy that we have got a reason to celebrate last weekend for my little sissie’s birthday in our humble home at Batangas.

I could clearly remember my family hosting a lot of parties before, yaass, my dad like to have family and friends over and eat good food. He was just a natural with everything that involves home entertainment, and so as my mom who loves to cook, and could be sometimes overwhelmingly obsessed with cleaning at times. I know right? Sooo, we were only planning for a swimming party but then my dad started inviting friends, so a house party/gathering was set.

And what’s a birthday party without a birthday cake right? And with me, doing my best to influence my family to go vegan, bombarded my mom with all the “Vegan Bakers” I know in the metro and told her that we should get my sissie a Vegan cake for a change! If this scenario happened a few years ago, I would’ve baked my sister a cake on my own!! I dunno, but this passion of mine just faded away and I feel more inclined than ever to Raw Vegan Desserts, those no bake-blender cakes that seem to be born out of the unicorn world. Well, after all the debate, cake design and flavour arguments, we finally decided to get a one layer Gluten Free Chocolate Cake with a galaxy inspired frosting from Marie of Kitchen Revolution. I wanted to get Jaq and Jertie’s Dark Chocolate Cake cause I’ve already tried them and they tasted soooo gooood and I wanted my fam to try them..Maybe next time!!!

Nonetheless, this cake was good for a vegan version! But personally, I would prefer Raw Vegan versions and it’s something that I would love to work with my hands on..eventually.

So here’s my little sissie who just turned 14 the other day.

She had her gradeschool friends around and it was really fun. I looove looove seeing and being with people who are so much younger than me. They make me feel like a kid again and makes me appreciate the simple things in life. They laugh at the silliest of things and get frustrated by the most miniscule problems in life. So much Tita feels from those few sentences right there, but yeah, I’m at that point in my life right now. We also had relatives over the house + a Tito celebrity who appears at lots of commercials, newspaper ads + Kapamilya teleseryes as of the moment! I wish I asked to have snapped a photo with him, but I didn’t!!! Well, next time then!

Sharing this beautiful, raw photo of these two amazing human beings who raised us up for the last 20+++ years in this world. I love you to bits and pieces, Mom..Dad…Thank you for everything you have given us, really. And I know someday, I am able to give back.

Lots of love!

and

Princess
