Be Stressed No More!

Feeling stressed lately? Perk yourself up with these tried and tested methods that will surely uplift your mood in no time.

1.Exercise. Go workout!

Working out doesn't only give you a good sweat, it also gives you a break from all that overthinking as you have to fully focus on your workout, on the present moment entirely or else you'll injure yourself in some way. So the next time you feel a little sluggish or unmotivated, wear your running shoes and hit the gym, lift some weights, just stay moving! You'll be thanking yourself for sure cause no one in this world ever had a feeling of regret after a good sweat!

2. Eat a banana.

When we're stressed we usually reach out for either sugar rich or ultra salty stuff so the next time you feel like it's hitting on you again, grab a banana and see how eating one or two could uplift your mood! Studies show that eating one helps relieve depression due to its high potassium content + you're getting a good amount of carbs! It helps to always bring a banana wherever you go as well even as a snack, good when you're craving for something sweet! Add some peanut/almond butter for a quick protein fix! PB and banana combo is just the perfect lazy dessert, and mood booster too!

3. Have a few pieces of cacao/ at least 70% dark chocolate.

Eating chocolates helps release a certain chemical in our brains - serotonin - that's responsible for all those happy hormones. Make sure that you get the one that's at least 70% cacao or else you'll just be ingesting sugar filled bars into your bloodstream. You don't want a sugar rush when you're stressed, cause in just a few hours you'll also be experiencing an energy crash and you'll just be hungry again and more or less will be reaching for carbohydrate rich processed food. Better choose the better option, buddy!

4. Have green uplifting smoothies or raw energising fruits for lunch.

Eating raw, vibrant foods has numerous benefits. Not only will you be nourishing your body from the inside out, you'll also be feeling more alive and energetic in the long run! This is more of a preventive measure from getting stressed. So yes, if you're in that track, make sure you load yourself with fresh fruits and vegetables every single day in your beautiful rawkin' amazing life!

5. Take a Walk or take a Break.

Let's face it, most of the time we all just need a breather - a break from our usual routines inside our homes, at the workplace and even with the things we think we should do for others and for ourselves. Take that long weekend. Hit the beach. or if you're THAT busy, take a walk outside for ten, fifteen minutes and see how a momentary change of pace in our actions could bring solitary moments of change and peace as we let go of our thoughts even for just a while.

6. Ignore the naysayers.

7. Work on yourself every single day. Think positive and aim higher.

You go girl! There's nothing better than making the most out of ourselves every day! This is definitely a great mood booster cause we know that we're making progress within ourselves and that's just a happy thought that leads to a fulfilled, motivated and refreshed mood! Say goodbye to stress, will ya?

8. Pray.

There's nothing more powerful than connecting to the Divine Energy within us when we're feeling down and blue. Prayers have a way of healing us from deep within and whenever we feel stressed, it's just wonderful to know that we have a safe refuge to dwell into..and we can always reach that place through a simple, well intentional prayer.

These are just a few of the things that I personally practice from years of experimentation/ my quest for a healthy, vibrant and good life.
