Artistic Impulse: A Visit to the Gallery

Hey everyone!

This beautyful Wednesday afternoon, I've finally decided to write and share with You such artsy experience at what I would love to call The Gallery.

May with this gift of words, art and heart feast Your mind, body and spirit inside one of Manila's hidden gems.

May You be filled with Love, Light, Enthusiasm and Hope as I share with You insights, interesting finds and unbelievably precious things and yes, what I actually got for moiself.

As you walk inside, you'd feel this certain confusion if You're actually into a shop cause they've carefully designed every detail in such a way that looks like sections tableau, with candles all in a corner, prized sofas, crystal dinnerware and even books sitting amongst top of tables that come from different parts of the world. Though according to Adrian( who is such, such an excellent person and is well versed about every single thing in The Gallery, and I sincerely applaud him for that ), W17 is actually a French brand with almost sixty percent of showcased items are sourced from Europe, mainly France and a quite hefty forty percent gives way to local artisans inside The Gallery.

So yes, before anything else, I sincerely, sincerely hope in my heart that You get to be curious, really converse and be present where You are.

Why am I saying this? well before, I honestly got used to visiting a store or eating out in a new place that I planned or scheduled, and not even taking the time to truly learn something from such experience..What I've learned from this visit is that, there's so much, so much things we have yet to discover, and we must ask, we must always ask as much as we're looking deep within ourselves..cause in another person, in another place, in our present moment experience, there's a pot of knowledge, wisdom, and yes, love, that truly waits for us to be discovered.

So with such a happy face, finally, let me first share with You what I truly, truly loved at The Gallery!

The Golden Coconut ( Php 9,500 )

Can You believe this?

It's a Gold Crusted Coconut Shell from Bangkok (Php 9,500) and I'm like, Wow!!! Seriously? Such genius! and yes, genius comes with a beautyful price. Just like this Golden Coconut. I know, I called it Gold Crusted(sounds like Fish and Chips to me! hahaha!) just because I would love to insert some humour here and there despite the True Nature of my Soul.

Could You actually think of creative ways one could create with the abundance of coconut shells that we have in our country? Something that our local farmers and indigenous people could actually do and market locally and internationally?

There's something luxe and enchanting that allures me to everything colored with gold. Seriously. In as much as I would like to simplify everything in my life, I make sure that I nurture my side that loves to indulge in beauty and such glamour and luxury that life has to offer.

We only have one life to live, and experiencing the beautiful dualities of it, and yes, at times in its extremes -simplicity and luxury, the ordinary and the extraordinary, are what makes this human experience so much more beautiful, and painful..

and heart warming and wrenching, and glorious and sometimes, not so glorious.

Point is, life is beautiful. life is ugly. life, is what we truly make of it..and how we choose to perceive and accept our curent reality. Everything, including this very moment that You're reading these words, will pass. So, I suggest You treasure every moment of it..every moment of Your Life..Cause may it be good, or bad..remember it will pass..

Just like how such beautyful moment of marveling at such pieces like this from The Gallery just passed..in just a few hours..but indeed, the memory, the learning and the heart that I've experienced is always with me..And it always will be..

Now off we go to what deeply, deeply resonated with my heart. You know that feeling when You've seen something at first sight( i know that was redundant but i seriously seriously have to emphasize that love at first sight component ), and You just instantly fell in love with it..That's how I got to decide what to get. Well I'm the type of person who actually researches first prior to going to a certain place,most especially if I know I'm getting something. So You can say that subconsciously, I have decided that I'll be most interested with candles, and books...

I seriously can't remember how I got into this habit and love of lighting candles..I just love the calm, peace and stillness that it brings..and yes, the scent..oh how I love refreshing candle scents that somehow brings me to such a meditative state..lemon, raspberry and citrus scents do the trick!

I truly fell in love with the W17 Verbena ( Verveine ) scent..first time to have a lemon scented candle and I love it so, so much! I love how fresh and calming and pronounced this candle produced, burning brightly as I write these words to You.

They have such a wide array of scents - from Cognac to Butter Almond to Vanilla to something that smelled like breeze..and apparently they have this...

I super love it! and I'll definitely be getting one of these as soon as it fully burns its beauty. :)

And there was just this energy that I couldn't explain that drew me so much with this book. I originally thought it was the cover, but as I opened and browsed through it, my heart and spirit knew exactly why.

I will definitely write and share a separate love blogpost cause this Book Questionnaire truly deserves one for the genius it has in it. Yas!

And oh, if every person You'll converse with at every store You visit is like Adrian..the entire experience would definitely be worth it. It would be more than just the stuff you got...I honestly felt like my mind and spirit was truly nourished..He knows every detail and information of every single thing in the Gallery and I admire him for such Mastery and Love He Has for his Work.

So there You go.
